Torrid is a sexy fashion brand, which empowers plus-size young women, 15 to 29, to feel beautiful and feminine!
Young women wearing sizes 12 to 26 can now match the style, excitement and selection available at straight size fashion retailers with the assortment found in Torrid. Torrid is a new specialty retail concept inspired by staggering amounts of requests from young, female shoppers. After an intense research and development process, Torrid was born.
Torrid caters to young women ages 15 to 29 that are part of the fastest-growing market segment in the United States, the plus-size market. The merchandise assortment at Torrid includes apparel, lingerie, shoes and accessories centered around the various lifestyles of young women today. The assortment is 50% private label and 50% well known fashion brands like Paris Blues, Dickies, LEI, Z. Cavaricci, Tripp, Hot Kiss and others.
Torrid opened its doors in mid-April 2001 at the Brea Mall in Brea, California. Since it's inception, Torrid has opened 76+ stores nationwide. All current and upcoming locations can be found by using our store locator. Torrid has plans to continue its expansion by opening an additional 45 stores in 2005.
