New Digitrex(R) High-Definition Network LCD TVs Add Support for Microsoft Windows Media Connect

Windows Media Connect Capabilities Will Enable Networked Access to Digital Media on Windows XP-based PCs Including Content Downloaded from PlaysForSure Services

Industry newcomer, ED Digital, through collaboration with Microsoft Corp., will include Windows Media Connect support in the company's new Digitrex(R) High-Definition Network LCD TVs. With native support of Windows Media Connect consumers will be able to view and listen to digital content stored on their Windows XP-based PC, through their Digitrex TV. Windows Media Connect support will also allow Digitrex TVs to be compatible with digital media capabilities in the forthcoming Windows Vista operating system from Microsoft. A user-friendly interface makes navigating networked content easy.

"We're working to make the connected home a reality for all," Steve Jean, vice president of marketing and product development, ED Digital, said. "Microsoft's trusted Windows Media Connect technology gives our HD network TV an edge. The Digitrex High-Definition Network LCD TV seamlessly turns a Windows XP-based PC into a media server and digital entertainment portal, bringing a whole new source of exciting content right into the family room."

ED Digital is one of the first manufacturers to integrate Windows Media Connect technology into a high-definition LCD TV. At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), ED Digital will officially launch as a company and unveil its flagship network TV along with its entire Digitrex line of consumer electronics and home theater products. To learn more and get a hands-on experience, visit the company's booth in the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Booth No. 70400.
