Garmin Nuvi 370 Review

Another one in the Garmin Nuvi 300 Series, the Nuvi 370 is a slim designed and highly functional GPS device. It’s small, compact design makes it great for any trip. And it’s so slim, that you can carry it comfortably, even in your shirt pocket.

It comes ready to use straight from the box. It’s preloaded with maps for both North America and Europe, and includes points of interest, such as hotels, restaurants, ATM’s, etc. You can even set custom points of interest, such as school zones and safety cameras.

And like others in the Nuvi series, it comes with Bluetooth technology, so you can pair it up with your cell phone for even more features. The sound and clarity of the calls are good compared to earlier models.

Navigation with the Nuvi 300 is simple enough for even a new GPS owner to figure out. And the directions are on the mark and precise. You just put enter your destination on the screen and receive 2D or 3D maps with your directions. There’s also a turn by turn voice navigation included. The load times are quick, destinations normally arrive within seconds, and if you happen to take a wrong turn, it will re-navigate your route and get you back on track quickly. One minor glitch may be that if you happen to take a wrong turn while walking, it may not automatically reroute you, and you need to hit “detour” which can sometimes lead to a longer path.

It also has an MP3 player feature which is good for walking, or for long trips while driving. Other features include a JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, and a currency converter, to name a few.

All in all, the satellite connection is quick and reliable, even on not so clear days, and you can count on your directions being quick and dependable. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery that holds up to 8 hours of life after charging, so even though the car charger and AC adapter are included, you won’t have to worry about having them on hand for every trip.

Overall, most users are very satisfied with the Nuvi 370 by Garmin. It’s compact build makes it convenient and comfortable for all your travel needs. And the reliability and extra features make it well worth the cost.

Make Hands-free Calls

Talk about worry-free driving. nüvi 370 integrates Bluetooth® wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker, so you can pair it with your compatible Bluetooth phone. Then talk hands-free through the 370 while staying focused on the road. Simply dial numbers with nüvi’s touchscreen keypad to make a call. To answer calls, just tap nüvi’s screen and speak directly into its built-in microphone. You can also easily look up and dial numbers from your personalized phone book or from your phone’s call history log. With 1-touch dialing for points of interest, you can conveniently call ahead for reservations or information.

Avoid Traffic Tie-ups

Steer clear of traffic with nüvi 370’s included FM TMC traffic receiver. Receive alerts about traffic tie-ups and road construction that lie ahead on your route. Then simply touch nuvi’s screen to view traffic details or detour around the problem area.
