Ligos Technology Appoints Executive Director, Product Management & Strategic Relationships

Expanding Management Team a Result of Company’s Explosive Growth

SAN FRANCISCO March 14, 2000 –Ligos Technology, the leading developer of real-time MPEG software encoding solutions, announced today that industry veteran Michael Downs has joined the company as executive director, product management & strategic relationships.

Michael joins Ligos after more than 20 years of management experience in the personal computer industry. He spent the last five years with Ulead Systems, a leading video and imaging software company, where he was the director for product management, product licensing and strategic relations. Prior to Ulead, Michael was with Tektronix, Linographics and Tandy business products division.
